BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: As part of its annual event in conjunction with the 72nd anniversary of the establishment of the Prisons Department , the Religious Committee of the Prisons Department Thursday held a Thanksgiving Prayer Ceremony at the Kampong Mata-Mata Religious Hall in Gadong.
Legislative Council members, permanent secretaries, deputy permanent secretaries, Acting Director of Prisons Bahrin Mohammad Yassin, heads of departments, senior officers under the Ministry of Home Affairs as well as officers and staff of the Prisons Department were also present. The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Yaasiin led by Imam Ahmad Khairulanam Abdullah. It proceeded with a Doa Kesyukuran, Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam, which was also led by the Imam.
