Government-related agencies from Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia participated in a table-top exercise on February 11th to enhance regional coordination and strengthen response capabilities for oil spills in the Straits of Malacca and Singapore. The exercise focused on communication procedures, rapid asset deployment, and collaboration between government agencies and oil spill response companies.
SINGAPORE : Government-related agencies and departments from Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia conducted a joint table-top exercise on Tuesday to enhance regional coordination and strengthen response capabilities for oil spills.
The MPA-led TTX was held as part of Singapore’s chairmanship of the Revolving Fund Committee from April 2022 to March 2027.
