PETALING JAYA: PKR vice-president Zuraida Kamaruddin has decided to take leave from her party positions until the disciplinary committee makes a decision on her reply to the show-cause letter issued to her, says her political secretary Hiwan Ahmad.

"The letter has also requested that the disciplinary committee refrain from taking any action against the vice-president as there are two legal notices from Saifuddin and Farhash. Hizwan said the request for the disciplinary committee to delay taking action against her pending the legal notices is in precedent of what happened to vice-president Rafizi Ramli, when he was the secretary-general in 2016.
The press conference was called to protest a WhatsApp message allegedly sent by PKR leader and Sungai Petani MP Datuk Johari Abdul, who allegedly asked that Kedah PKR not"entertain" Zuraidah when she visits the state.Zuraida was asked to respond to a list of issues including the content of a speech at a PKR gathering at Renaissance Hotel on Dec 8.
