The much rumoured Zotac Gaming Zone has appeared as part of the Computex 2024 showcase, looking a lot like a Steam Deck.
The handheld gaming PC market is currently booming hard and fast. Zotac appeared to be maming a play of its own, with something called the Zone. Following an official teaser, and its spec sheet leaking, we finally see the item in question, officially dubbed the Zotac Gaming Zone.
Based on the official spec sheet provided, most of the leaked spec sheet looks to be accurate. Rather than a Z1 chipset, the Zotac Gaming Zone looks to indeed be using an AMD Ryzen 78840U instead. The GPU in the setup has also been revealed to be a Radeon 780M. Other items in the spec sheet looks to be 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, 512GB of M.2 PCIe 4 SSD, and a 48.5Wh battery.
On the outside, the Zotac Gaming Zone has a 7-inch 1080p AMOLED screen with up to 120Hz refresh rate. And speaking of outside, this is the one handheld gaming PC that looks the most like the Steam Deck, and to an uncanny degree at that. One last thing to note though is the mention of 'beta' on the spec sheet of the Zotac Gaming Zone. Despite this, the company says that the handheld will be launching around September, and for a price of around US$800 .
