Untuk aksi separuh akhir esok, anak jati Alor Setar, Kedah itu bakal berdepan wakil Thailand, Kunlavut Vitidsarn yang menghuni ranking No. 8 dunia. Kejayaan Zii Jia itu sekali gus menghidupkan kembali harapan Kontinjen Malaysia yang meletakkan badminton sebagai sasaran menjelmakan pingat emas pertama negara.

Zii Jia berkata, masih terlalu awal untuk meraikan kejayaannya mara ke separuh akhir kerana esok, perlawanan lebih sukar menantinya.
