Jelas Menteri Pendidikan Tinggi itu, ia adalah satu 'kemalasan intelektual' dan suatu bentuk 'minda yang tertutup' seperti yang dijelaskan oleh Allahyarham Dr Syed Hussein al-Attas.

Menteri Pendidikan Tinggi, Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir menegaskan agar golongan akademik dan pensyarah hanya mengeluarkan kenyataan dalam bidang disiplin masing-masing berdasarkan fakta kukuh, dan bukannya kenyataan popular semata-mata.

“Jangan Sampai Intelektual Dianggap Sama Dengan Yang Berada Di Bawah” – Zambry Menurut Zambry, ia adalah satu ‘kemalasan intelektual’ dan suatu bentuk ‘minda yang tertutup’ seperti yang dijelaskan oleh tokoh akademik Allahyarham Dr Syed Hussein al-Attas. “Sebagai intelektual, pensyarah boleh cakap apa saja tapi mesti tertakluk disiplin, dengan asas dan data yang baik. Jangan sampai dianggap sama saja dengan yang berada di bawah,” katanya dipetik Berita Harian.

Dalam satu siri ceramahnya, profesor bahasa Arab itu mendakwa isteri Rasulullah SAW, Saidina Siti Khadijah, berasal dari Kedah atau alam Melayu.
