KRUBONG: Walaupun dikecam dan disiasat pihak berkuasa kerana ucapannya yang menyentuh masyarakat Hindu dan Cina Malaysia sebelum ini, penceramah kontroversi dari India, Dr Zakir Naik menjadi imam solat Maghrib dan Isyak kepada lebih 1,000 orang di Masjid Cina Melaka di Krubong malam tadi.

FMT dimaklumkan pemimpin Umno dan PAS tempatan turut menghadiri “Malam Islam Bersatu”, antaranya Adun Serkam, Zaidi Attan; Adun Merlimau, Roslan Ahmad; dan Pesuruhjaya PAS Melaka, Kamaruddin Sidek. “Masjid Cina Krubong bukan masjid PPBM. Apabila di masjid kita letakkan baju politik di luar. Takkanlah hendak bersatu sebagai umat Islam pun salah?”
