Yvette Fielding reveals scariest moment hosting Most Haunted that left her reciting Lord’s Prayer in her car
Yvette Fielding may be known as the First Lady Of The Paranormal, however the legendary presenter is so terrified of ghosts she can’t watch her own TV show.Speaking about her nearly two decades investigating haunted spots around the world and being frazzled by angry spirits, Yvette can still vividly remember one night’s investigation where she was forced to retreat to her car and recite the Lord’s Prayer.
For someone who has made a massive career out of creating content that scares the bejeebus out of viewers, it’s slightly settling to learn the extent to which Yvette is freaked out of spirits herself. ‘You always question your sanity when you’re in places like that. Objects flying at you that if they hit you they would have hurt you or possibly killed you. You think this is nuts. A normal person would think, this is nonsense.‘How can you believe in something unless you see it with your own eyes? But I’ve seen it, so I know there are such things as ghosts, spirits, energy we cannot see that manifests itself in certain ways or manipulates objects.
‘I’m scared to death. We just started filming the new series and I’m jumpy as anything. The longer the series goes on I get really brave. We have a break and [I’ll hear] the slightest noise and I’m an absolute wreck; it’s pathetic.’
