GEORGE TOWN: The Covid-19 pandemic has not dampened the spirits of some 20 youths who got together to make a huge Bintang Raya to be put up at the People’s Housing Project (PPR).
The members from Pertubuhan Anak Muda Pulau Pinang, aged between 17 and 32, spent their leisure time to make the 4.2m-high seven-pointed decorative star, which is fitted with LED lights, for Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
“Of course, we have almost everyone here on the first day as we need a lot of manpower to make the frame and to shape the lantern.Due to the conditional movement control order, the youths made sure they left before midnight.
