Regardless of one’s position in principle on the propriety of capital punishment or the validity of its imposition in the Lucio case, Saenz should be commended for his fidelity to the system and allegiance to the rule of law despite being harassed at his office, opposed publicly by politicians and celebrities, and given critical press coverage.In April, my son and I attended the San Antonio Symphony’s premier string quartet at the Josephine Theatre. It was outstanding and inspiring.
