PASIR GUDANG: Young people are now buying property as part of their first major investment instead of buying cars, says Johor Housing, Communication and Multimedia Committee chairman Dzulkefly AhmadHe said this was a positive sign and showed their maturity as younger people realised the importance of owning a property as a sound investment.
“This is a good move by them as banks have no issue in approving housing loans as their income statement is not affected by other loans, ” he added. He said such a trend was likely to continue with property prices here expected to decrease, in view of the current market trend. “Some developers are offering 30% discounts to encourage people to buy houses in their project, so this is a good time for people to buy a property, ” he added.
