He has been taken to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition, with his injuries not believed to be life-threatening.The Queensland government, including increased fines for owners of aggressive dogs.

Other proposed measures included on-the-spot fines for off-leash dogs and a statewide ban on dog breeds prohibited for import by the Commonwealth.A discussion paper will be developed to gather community feedback on the proposed measures, and the group will meet again in late May.
