In case you didn’t know, the Screen Time feature allows parents to remotely manage a child’s device. This includes implementing a quota on usage time, setting time limits for apps and blocking inappropriate content. However, the screen time bug has caused the Screen Times settings to reset sometimes or fail to sync with all devices within a Family Sharing group. “We are aware that some users may be experiencing an issue where Screen Time settings reset randomly.

Last May, Apple released a fix for Screen Time issues with iOS 16.5. However, some reports claimed that parents have continued to experience this issue on devices updated to iOS 16.6 and the iOS 17 public beta. As of now, Apple has yet to confirm additional fixes to Screen Time.
