PETALING JAYA: Most Malaysians are agreeable to the ruling on the mandatory usage of the MySejahtera app by all business premises.
The decision was announced yesterday by Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, who said the regulation would be gazetted by the Attorney General Chambers soon.
“Yes! This is for the convenience of everyone, instead of using so many different apps, ” Facebook user Ida Ismail-Lim said.“Yes, one and only one is good enough! Too many QR codes to scan and so much filling in is really unnecessary, ” she said. Several Malaysians even commented on the issue of data collection and privacy, saying that consolidating all information-collecting into one app is safer.
User Lau Kai Chong agreed, adding that he had come across several third-party apps that are allegedly collecting data for other purposes.
