Yamal Reacts To Record-Breaking Win Over France
Spanish wonderkid Lamine Yamal has reacted to his record-breaking performance against France in the semi-finals of the UEFA European Championship.The 16-year-old has broken a number of EUROs records in Germany , with the Barcelona native having become the youngest-ever appearance-maker in the competition's history as well as the youngest player ever to grab multiple assists at a single edition of the showpiece.
The one record that had eluded him, however, was the one for the youngest-ever goalscorer in EUROs history. Until Tuesday night, that is. Having had ample opportunities to achieve this throughout Spain's journey to the semi-finals, the teenage sensation finally broke his duck in the biggest match of the tournament yet, in Spain's 2-1 victory over Les Bleus.
"We were in a difficult moment, you wouldn't expect a goal so soon, I wanted to put it in where it went in and I'm very happy," he told "I try not to think too much, enjoy it and help the team, and if it works out like this, I'm happy and content with the victory.
