Matthew Wright says it is 'unfortunate' to see fellow Gilas Pilipinas player Dwight Ramos go down with an injury in their Japan B. League encounter.
MANILA, Philippines – Matthew Wright expressed concern for Dwight Ramos after his fellow Gilas Pilipinas player went down with an ankle injury in their Japan B. League encounter.
Immediately after scoring a layup with five minutes left, Ramos landed on the foot of Kyoto guard Kanta Mizuno and fell in visible pain. Wright finished with 24 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals as the Hannaryz completed a two-game sweep of the Levanga over the weekend, while Ramos posted 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists before his exit.
Wright added he wants to share the court with Ramos again, next time as Gilas Pilipinas teammates for the FIBA World Cup, which the Philippines will co-host with Japan and Indonesia next year.
