JAKARTA: The international community cannot remain silent on the conflicts happening in Myanmar, Russia-Ukraine, North Korea and Palestine, says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
The incessant launching of ballistic missiles, and nuclear programme clearly violated United Nation Security Council’s resolution, he added."And I don’t think we in this forum could choose to ignore the concerns of the neighbours of countries in this region."We also reject regression in Ukraine and call for meaningful dialogue to reach an amicable resolution.
US vice-president Kamala Harris, Chinese premier Li Qiang, and Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the summit here, offering an opportunity for direct, high-level diplomacy between the rivals. "And I think this forum with the presence of all prominent leaders must attempt to try and resolve these problems, issues these days," noted Anwar.
