Mary Lim Thiam Suan, Rhodzariah Bujang and Harmindar Singh Dhaliwal are expected to be elevated to the Federal Court next week.
The Federal Court provides for 15 appointments, which include the four administrative positions in the judiciary such as that of chief justice. The other female judges in the apex court are Nallini Pathmanathan, Zaleha Yusuf, Zabariah Mohd Yusof and Hasnah Mohammed Hashim. In the past, there were only a maximum of two judges from the Bornean states, and one would be from Sabah.
