A woman got trapped under some fallen debris from a four-storey residential building on Orchid Street, Barangay Longos, Malabon City that collapsed on Sunday morning, Dec. 4.
The Bureau of Fire Protection identified the victim as Ronalyn Tumbocon. She is currently being rescued by responding BFP personnel and other rescuers as of this writing.
Malabon Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office Head Roderick Tongol said that the incident happened at around 6:30 a.m. on Sunday. It affected two families. Tongol said residents living near the collapsed building were advised to temporarily vacate their homes. He also said that they are looking into the possibility that the incident happened due to the weak foundation of the building.
