The witness took the stand in the case against Rafael Reyes Banda, 44, who prosecutors say kidnapped and raped the witness and killed another woman
A woman who says she was kidnapped, raped and asked to help dismember another woman’s body in a South Bay home took the stand in court this week, describing the series of events as a nightmare.
The woman was referred to in court only by her first name. The Union-Tribune does not name victims of sexual assault. The woman and her friend left behind items, and she returned — alone — to his home about 11 a.m. on March 14. The woman testified that Banda made strange demands and continued to assault her over the course of a day.
Deputy District Attorney Joshua Brisbane then showed her a photo of what appeared to be a dismembered limb.
