Woman struck, killed while crossing a Spring Valley street [Breaking]
A 54-year-old woman was struck and killed while crossing a Spring Valley thoroughfare late Saturday night, a California Highway Patrol officer said.
The collision happened just after 11 p.m. as the woman tried to cross from Paradise Valley Road just east of Worthington Street, Officer Travis Garrow said.As the woman headed north, she walked in front of the SUV and was struck. The Oceanside resident died at the scene. Her name was not released, pending family notification.Advertisement
