A woman was pistol whipped and had her truck stolen Wednesday evening at an East Oakland gas station.
OAKLAND — A 30-year-old woman pumping gas Wednesday evening at an East Oakland station was pistol-whipped and had her truck stolen, authorities said.
The woman was in stable condition after being taken to a hospital, where she was treated for head injuries. The violent attack happened about 5:45 p.m. Wednesday at a gas station in the 9700 block of Edes Avenue. Police said the woman was pumping gas into her white Ford F150 truck when a car pulled up and a man got out. The man approached the woman from behind and began hitting her in the back of her head with a gun before taking off in the truck, police said.
