Brandyn Mills, pleaded no contest to aggravated assault count earlier this year.
A midstate woman will spend the next five years in state prison for what police say was an unprovoked stabbing attack on a housemate in September 2021.
Baughman, who was taken to Penn State Holy Spirit Hospital for treatment of his injuries, told police he believed Mills - whom Baughman said he’d left stay with him about six months earlier because they’d been longtime friends and she had no place else to go - was drinking before the attack, and he remembered hearing her yelling about having her children taken from her.
Mills was apprehended at the scene, but only after she stabbed herself in the chest as police responded to the scene. She was taken to York Hospital for treatment of her self-inflicted wounds and later arrested.
