Kota Kinabalu: An unemployed woman who sold her housemate’s gold jewellery to a pawnshop for RM2,837 was fined RM6,000 by the Magistrate’s Court, Friday.
Jemiah Manan, 39, pleaded guilty before Magistrate Lovely Natasha to three counts of disposing of stolen jewellery belonging to Oyzzie Esther Roland.On the first count, Jemiah was fined RM2,000 or five months jail for disposing of the a gold bracelet weighing 2.96gm for RM750 at the Luqman Gold Shop here on March 29.
