A woman and a nine-year-old girl died in a fire that gutted their house near Sugpo Covered Court, Barangay 8, Caloocan City on Tuesday evening, Feb. 28
The Caloocan City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office said the woman, identified as alias “Jing-Jing,” around 40 years old, was trapped inside the house while the girl sustained third degree burns and was brought to a hospital where she was declared dead on arrival.
The Bureau of Fire Protection said the fire was raised to first alarm at around 10:08 p.m. and was declared under control at around 10:40 p.m. It was extinguished at around 11:50 p.m.
