On Wednesday, Dali Tambo attended a wreath-laying ceremony in honour of his father in Benoni. The event was organised by the ANC, which OR Tambo led as president from 1967 to 1991.

Is our nation more egalitarian, non-racial and harmonious society? Has the gap between rich and poor narrowed under your noble leadership?"Asked whether he thought his father’s dream had been realised, Dali Tambo had this to say:"Not yet.

In a move to boost its chances in the hotly-contested Gauteng, the ANC will have former president, Thabo Mbeki, campaigning for it on Thursday. Dali Tambo, Oliver Tambo’s son, said his father’s dream for South Africa has “not yet” been achieved however its only the ANC that can do it. TCG
