“My concern last year when Madison went down was that if we put Jacy there, would it take away from her ability to impact the team from a scoring standpoint, which she had done so well the year before?” he said. “But she’s such a great player and great student of the game, she figured out a way to not only score the ball but to also make everyone around her better.”
With Greene available again, Sheldon poised to cement a legacy as one of the program’s all-time greats and Mikesell back after considering leaving for a professional career, McGuff looks to have multiple dangerous, veteran weapons in his backcourt this season. Also a first-team all-league pick last season, Mikesell averaged 18.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists while leading the team in three-point shooting and free-throw shooting .
