WITH the low pressure area (LPA) off Palawan dissipating in 24 hours, the country is expected to experience generally fair weather for the next three days, the state-run weather agency said on Friday.
Weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the LPA was last spotted past 3 a.m. some 305 kilometers west of Puerto Princesa City, also in the same province.'It has not been directly affecting the country except its trough or extension but it would likely dissipate within a 24-hour period,' Aurelio said.
Pagasa said in its 5 a.m. advisory that the trough of the LPA is affecting Occidental Mindoro and the northern portion of Palawan where overcast skies with scattered downpours and thunderstorms may prevail.Meanwhile, the northeasterly surface wind flow -- the wind coming from the north-east that brings mild temperature – will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains over Batanes, Cagayan, Isabel and Abra.
