Wisma Putra seeks 12 missing hikers in India
Wisma Putra is searching for a group of 12 Malaysians who could not be contacted by their families after heavy rains hit the northern region of India on Sunday. – AFP pic, July 12, 2023.
In a statement made yesterday, Wisma Putra said search efforts were being carried out via the Malaysian High Commission in New Delhi in collaboration with Indian authorities. The Hampta Pass is a popular trekking route that boasts glaciers and fast-flowing rivers, making it challenging to hikers.
