The cast of the upcoming Wind River: The Next Chapter continues to grow, with Castle Rock Entertainment announcing four actors have joined.
, and will also co-star alongside Jodie Foster in the upcoming fourth season of HBO’sand will also be in Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ seriesThe four actors join a cast that already includes previously confirmed cast member Martin Sensmeier as he reprises his role as Chip Hanson from the original crime drama.is being written by Patrick Massett and John Zinman . The film hails from Castle Rock Entertainment, Acacia Filmed Entertainment, and Thunder Road Pictures.
“In the sequel, terror has escalated on the Wind River reservation as a series of ritualistic murders remain unsolved,” reads the synopsis. “The FBI therefore enlists the aid of Hanson, a newly minted tracker for the U.S. Fish & Game, who becomes embroiled in a desperate and dangerous fight between the authorities, a vigilante, and the Reservation he calls home.
The 2017 film was written and directed by Taylor Sheridan, who won the best director award at the Cannes Film Festival for his work on the film. It starred Marvel Cinematic Universe alums Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen and had grossed a modest $45 million against an $11 million budget.
