Another Supernatural character is set to reprise his role in The Winchesters. Supernatural ran for a whopping 15 seasons from 2005 to 2020, starring Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki as monster hunters Dean and Sam Winchester. The two brothers inherited the hunting lifestyle from their father John , who set out on a revenge mission after the death of their mother Mary .

Set in 1972, the show focuses on the early stages of the couple's relationship, with Mary already serving as a hunter and John having recently returned from combat.
