Doolittle recently announced his bid for sheriff and will challenge Sheriff Rand Henderson for the county's Republican nomination in the November 2024 election. “The Precinct 1 Constables Office was very much aware of the unhappiness of our officers based on feedback they received and chose to ignore it,” Harkrider said. “Precinct 1 Constables Office chose to play this out publicly, not Willis ISD.”and denied mistreating officers.
