Willie Geist says one recent 'Sunday Sitdown' on Sunday TODAY got him a little shook up.
" on Tuesday, May 2, Geist revealed that an interview with"Elvis" star Austin Butler earlier this year caught him off guard and made him a little emotional.
“She quit her job to drive me to auditions and drive me to acting class. And she’d wait outside and then drive all the way back down to Orange County," he said. Butler’s mom died of cancer in September 2014. Butler said his “whole world sort of shifted” after her death and he had “trouble finding joy” with his craft.
Butler has since starred in a number of films, including 2019's"Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" and"The Dead Don't Die," which came out the same year.
