Beating Abbott wouldn’t be easy. Incumbent governors have certain advantages that aren’t always evident before campaigns begin. Abbott is a proven campaigner, though he hasn’t been on the trail against anyone like Patrick.In politics, every boy and girl dreams about being Texas governor.
