Meeting offers the opportunity to develop common policies for the still nascent legal cannabis industry
While cannabis is not the most pressing of issues facing our presidents, there are clear links to several of the identified agenda items, including security, trade, health and enhancing the competitiveness of the North American economy. Collaboration to assess and address the connections between these themes and the still-nascent legal cannabis industry in North America offers the leaders a chance to develop common policies now rather than being obliged to resolve inconsistencies in the future.
