Jake Paul was due to be facing Mike Tyson in Texas tonight but will instead be facing former UFC star Mike Perry
Jake Paul should be taking on Mike Tyson in just a few hours - but will have to wait another four months to throw punches at the heavyweight legend.
He initially insisted the incident would not affect his clash with Paul but soon admitted defeat and pushed the showdown back to November 15. "I want to thank my fans around the world for their support and understanding during this time. Unfortunately, due to my ulcer flareup, I have been advised by my doctor to lighten my training for a few weeks to rest and recover," he said at the time.
Paul, now without a fight this weekend, moved quickly to agree terms with bare-knuckle boxer and former UFC star Mike Perry with whom he has long been linked. Explaining his decision not to wait for Tyson, Paul said: "To stay getting experience under the bright lights on my world, on my path to the world championship. And that's what matters, is getting the experience under the bright lights.
