"The trees along Cibolo Valley Drive have worsened shrink/swell movement," Jeanette Gonzalez, the city spokeswoman, told the Express-News in an email."Pavements constructed over or near a tree root system may shrink due to changes in moisture content and result in pavement cracking and settlement."
