Aussies appear to be tuning out of the Voice to parliament debate in the crucial final week as the horrific conflict in the Middle East threatens to overshadow the historic referendum.

New polling indicates the Voice is on track for defeat, with support dwindling and all but two states leaning firmly towards a No result.

Of particular concern for the Yes campaign is that there has been no uptick of interest in the Voice in the final week. It takes a small sample of the absolute search volume then normalises the data on a scale from 0 to 100 where each point is divided by the highest point on the graph. Professor of Mathematics Virgilio Sison wrote on Linkedin that there was a “big difference between the demographics of voters and the people who use web tools like Google”.
