Weinberg has volunteered with Dallas ISD schools, including by tutoring and food distribution. She previously served as chief strategy officer for United to Learn, a nonprofit that helps DISD schools through public-private partnerships. “I’m looking forward to continuing the work I’ve done over the past nine years to ensure there is equity in education across the board,” she said, adding that she’s proud of the academic success in her district.
Trustee Joe Carreón is running unopposed to hold onto his District 8 seat, which includes northwest Dallas and parts of East Dallas and West Dallas.
