However, a woman named Andrea Giovino was one of his closest ones. In the trailer of the Netflix mini-series titled Get Gotti, Giovino explained how New York City was the hub for criminals in the late 20th century.
She says, “New York in the 80s was the perfect time to be a criminal. You can get away with everything.” Giovino got arrested in 1992 alongside John Gotti but officials soon dropped charges against her. The FBI wanted to join the Witness Protection program, however, she decided to shift to a quiet suburb in Pennsylvania. Even though Giovino and Gotti hardly interacted with each other, the woman was well aware of the workings of the crime ring. She joined the Parent-Teacher Association, a church.
