Who are some of the unsung heroes in central Ohio high school basketball? We asked coaches for their input and selected six boys and six girls.
For a basketball fan, it's easy to look at a box score and immediately know the stars of the game. Or is it?
“Cole and Peyton are scoring our points, they’re making the crazy plays, but being the glue guy, I love that type of role,” Arnett said. “I get my points, but I love having assists, diving on the floor, and it’s those types of plays that win games. Everyone on our team is buying into that and starting to make those plays. “Jocelyn gives her all every game,” coach Brock Cunningham said. “We often give her the assignment of guarding the other team’s best offensive player and she works like crazy to defend and wear out the opposing player. She is willing to do the physical, hard work that does not show up on the stat sheets.
