The Trump administration is standing by its pick of Herman Cain for a seat on the Federal Reserve "at the moment," White House National Economic Council Director Larry Kudlow said Thursday. Some Senate Republicans have expressed reservations about Cain, who ran for president and was a pizza-chain executive, for a spot on the central bank's board. Kudlow told a conference sponsored by the Hill that Cain is in the process of being vetted.
