"It is entirely normal for a president to be briefed on reporters who will be asking questions at a press conference and issues that we expect they might ask about," press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters Thursday.She similarly defended how the White House picks which reporters will ask Biden questions, particularly when foreign leaders are present since diplomats tend to negotiate the terms of the appearance beforehand.
