A consortium of explorers, Constellation asks its adherents to boldly go where no one has gone before, seeking out new planets and alien artifacts to gain a better understanding of the galaxy. Constellation factors heavily into the main quest, and signing up is required to progress.
United Colonies might be Starfield's best faction, but it's not totally necessary to join them if their lawful alignment clashes with the player character's. A roguish space pirate might fit in with the Crimson Fleet, a lonesome cowpoke might mesh with the Freestar Collective, and a money-hungry entrepreneur might see more opportunity in Ryujin Industries.
