What are the requirements to host a firework show in Harris County?
If you have not filed and received a permit from Harris County Fire Marshal, you may not conduct a public firework display that includes fireworks 1.3G unless the person is a licensed pyrotechnic operator. Approved firework displays may include only the approved fireworks 1.3G, fireworks 1.4G, fireworks 1.4S and pyrotechnic articles 1.4G. With approval you must discharged and fire fireworks in a place that won’t be a hazard to property or endanger any person.Firework safety should be a priority during the Fourth of July.
The Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office suggests calling 713-274-1700 to report a firework-related complaint or hazard to an inspector on duty.
