A Monday night traffic stop in Wheat Ridge turned into a bust after officers found drugs, including 1,000 fentanyl pills and a stolen gun inside the vehicle, police said Tuesday.
. A further search of the vehicle found 1,000 fentanyl pills and a handgun, which was reported stolen in Loveland in 2020.
The 42-year-old suspect, who police said has a criminal record for drugs, was arrested on investigation of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, as well as firearm and weapons violations. He was taken to the Jefferson County Jail. Traffic stop last night leads to big drug bust— a pound of Methamphetamine, 1,000 Fentanyl pills, and a stolen handgun seized. Details on our FB page.
