Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp is currently testing out a new feature, which is the ability to pin messages to the top of chats. Spotted in the latest A
As shared by WABetaInfo, the feature is available to a select few beta testers via the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.21.4 update. Essentially, there’s a new pin action visible within the message options that allows users to pin a message to the top of the conversation.
Users can then choose whether to pin the message for either 1 day, 7 days or 30 days. Moreover, you can also dismiss the pin message at any time, making it useful to highlight any important information in say a WhatsApp work chat group or even individual chats. Of course, given that this feature is only available in beta, it is not written in stone whether it’d make it to the full version of WhatsApp. Well, do stay tuned to TechNave for the latest developments on this and for more trending tech news.
