WhatsApp is working through its list of new features to be added at quite the pace. Just recently we saw

as identifiers in addition to just phone numbers. But it looks like it’s not the only feature currently being tested by the Meta subsidiary. Another feature that’s also being tested at the same time looks to be the ability to share your screen during video calls.

As WABetaInfo reports, this feature is currently only available to some users of the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.11.19 update. For those who have access to the feature in testing, the prompt to share your screen shows up at the bottom of your screen, among the buttons in the call control panel. The report also notes that it may not work in large group calls, and may not be available if you or the video call recipient is running older versions of Android or WhatsApp.

The report also notes that this is being rolled out “to more users over the coming weeks”, though it’s unclear if this means those using the beta or the full release. All things considered, it’s most likely the former, and no doubt WhatsApp will be making an official announcement when this, and a few of the other recently discovered features, make it to the general user base.
