A man from China was sentenced to jail after scaring to death 1,100 chickens that belonged to his neighbor.
Citing Chinese state media, CNN International reported that the man, surnamed Gu, had a feud with his neighbor, surnamed Zhong, since April 2022. Zhong reportedly cut down Gu's trees without permission. His intentions were unclear, but Gu's flashlight caused the chickens to panic and crowd into a corner. About 500 of them got trampled to death.
But Gu wasn't done exacting his revenge. He trespassed Zhong's property again later on and got 640 chickens killed.
