What to do on Canada Day in the capital, how to get there, and what's open & closed in Ottawa
There will be free service on OC Transpo buses, O-Train Line 1 and Para Transpo all day Saturday, until 4 a.m. Sunday. Fare gates at stations will be open.
On Monday, buses will operate on a Saturday schedule, with “enhanced service” on Routes 25, 63, 74, and 85. Certain trips on Routes 61, 63 and 75 will be extended to or from Gatineau in peak periods. O-Train Line 1 will follow a weekday schedule.The following downtown streets will be closed from 6 a.m. on July 1 to 2 a.m.
The Parkway in Kanata will be closed between Reaney Court, Leacock Drive and Teron Road from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Charlie Rogers Place will be closed between Ron Maslin Way and the Kanata Recreation Centre fromIn Greely, Meadow Drive from Parkway to Bank Street will be closed between 8:30 a.m. and 11 p.m.Osgoode Main Street will be closed between Nixon Drive and 5673 Osgoode Main Street from noon to 1 p.m.
